Sayasat Nurbek gave a lecture at IUTH

Within the framework of the symposium “Kazakh language – the language of science: traditions and innovations” held in Turkestan, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek visited IUTH.

Chairman of the Board-Rector of the International University of Tourism and Hospitality Alibek Shokparov acquainted the Minister with educational activities for personnel training, as well as with the prospects for the development of the university’s infrastructure.

The students successfully confirmed their knowledge, vividly demonstrating their practical skills to the guest.

In turn, the Head of the Ministry gave a leadership lecture on competencies in the era of digital transformation. Opening the meeting, the Minister stressed that his second visit to the International University of Tourism and Hospitality is not accidental.

“Tourism and sports are great opportunities. It’s cool that you’re learning Chinese as well. China has a very strong institution in the field of “hospitality”. It is located in the cities of Beijing and Xiyan. At the moment, negotiations are underway, according to the results of which I will go to China in May. We plan to work with the International University of Tourism and Hospitality in these two areas too.”

Also, answering the students’ questions, the minister shared tips on developing important life skills needed in modern realities.

“You will then realize that in fact, in the field where you will work, it is very important to have a reliable, principled person. Keep in mind, colleagues, not everything is measured by knowledge, not everything is measured by qualifications. Often, especially business owners, rely on people with principles. And if, in addition to this, you also have knowledge of a foreign language and you are developing independently, you are invaluable. You will be the employee that everyone will hold on to. Don’t betray your principles. This is more important than anything else.”
