On April 10, 2026, the International University of Tourism and Hospitality hosted the international research and practice conference «Modern Tourism Industry: Global Changes, Sustainability, and the Digital Future».
During the conference, participants engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding global trends in the tourism industry, digitalization, sustainable development, and innovative approaches. The event brought together leading scholars and international experts from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and the Russian Federation, who shared their latest research findings and professional expertise.
The plenary session took place at the «House of Friendship» conference hall, while additional breakout sessions were conducted in an online format.
Special attention was given to developing the tourism potential of the Turkestan region, improving tourism infrastructure, and promoting the region on an international scale.
The conference successfully bridged the gap between science and practice, serving as a vital platform for synergy between academia and the real sector. The exchange of ideas and the resulting recommendations are expected to provide a new impetus for the qualitative growth of the tourism industry, strengthen international scientific cooperation, and support the training of a new generation of qualified professionals.
