
The International University of Tourism and Hospitality hosted an official meeting with representatives of the University of Arizona. The university welcomed Hugh Hallman, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the State of Arizona; Ola Lundemo, Professor at the University of Arizona; Ricky Salazar, International Programs Lead; and Jenny Lee, Vice President for International Cooperation.
The main purpose of the meeting was to further strengthen the partnership between IUTH and the University of Arizona, discuss the results of the Sustainable Tourism Undergraduate Certificate program, and identify promising areas for future cooperation.
The certificate program provided IUTH students with an opportunity to gain international knowledge and experience in sustainable tourism, ecotourism, destination management. The first stage of the program was implemented with the support of Mr. Hugh Hallman, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the State of Arizona.
A total of 6 students successfully completed the certificate program and received certificates from the University of Arizona. This marks an important achievement in developing students’ international knowledge and professional competencies.
At the end of the meeting, certificates were awarded to the program participants. The university also expressed its gratitude to the distinguished guests and presented them with commemorative gifts.
IUTH highly values its partnership with the University of Arizona and intends to continue joint work in the areas of sustainable tourism, academic programs, student projects and international cooperation.
