On September 27, 2024, on World Tourism Day will start the Second International Student Congress “Tourism of the Future – the Future of Tourism“.
The Congress has become a unique online platform for professional dialogue between students and leading experts in the field of tourism in Russia and the world.
The main theme of the congress is the sustainable development of tourism and the hospitality industry – “The sustainable future of tourism“.
The key areas of work of the congress:

- Is Tourism a profession or a vocation?
- Let’s go to the village! We are developing the rural tourism in Russia

It is expected that will take part in the Congress more than 17,000 students from 100 universities and secondary specialized educational institutions of Russia and CIS countries.
The task of the global event is to popularize and increase the prestige of tourism professions. The congress timed to coincide with World Tourism Day and aimed at educating a new generation of tourists who know Russian and world culture and a history of caring for the natural heritage and leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
The speakers of the congress will be Russian and international leaders of the tourism industry, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Ministry of Economy and Development of Russia, Russian Youth of the Russian Geographical Society project “Masters of Hospitality“. ANO “Russia is a country of opportunities”, ANO “More than a journey” and professional associations, leading educational organizations, as well as students, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
During the Congress will be given start the international competition of students’ projects for the development of tourism in Russia and the CIS countries.
