The International University of Tourism and Hospitality participated as a speaker at the 1st meeting of educational institutions of ECO member countries specializing in tourism, which was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on December 4-5, 2023. Chairman of the Board of the International University of Tourism and Hospitality – Rector I.O. Aralbekova Karlygash made a presentation on “The human resources for tourism industry in Kazakhstan: contemporary challenges and opportunities”.
The first meeting of higher educational institutions specializing in tourism of the organization’s member states was held in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the initiative of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (ECO), together with the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Meaningful discussions were held and connections were established that pave the way for future cooperation with universities in Azerbaijan, Austria, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
The exchange of ideas and experiences promises a bright future for joint initiatives in the field of tourism education.
