The Vice-Rector performs duties according to the tasks of the University, namely:
- Representation of the interests of the University in the state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, institutions and organizations, regardless of the organizational and legal form and forms of ownership in the field of activity within the limits established by the University Charter;
- Control over the execution of the Rector’s instructions, ensuring the implementation of decisions of the Academic Council and orders of the Rector within his/her competence;
- Regulation of individual labor relations with employees of supervised departments;
- Control, management and coordination of the work of supervised structural units, including schools on issues of library, socio-cultural development and international cooperation;
- Coordination of activities for the socio-cultural development of the University;
- Coordination of library activities of the University;
- Coordination of work on the development of student self-government (Student Parliament);
- Organization of planning and implementation of measures for the development of international cooperation in the field of education, professional development of teachers and researchers;
- Preparation, coordination and submission of proposals for concluding agreements with foreign partners;
- Compliance with labor discipline and labor protection instructions;
- Ensuring compliance by employees of supervised structural units with performance and labor discipline;
- Making proposals to the University management in accordance with the established procedure on issues of admission, transfer, dismissal, financial incentives, professional development, disciplinary punishment of employees of structural divisions of the University;
- Execution of other orders of the University management;
- Carrying out preventive measures to combat corruption with employees in the following departments: Department of International Cooperation, Department of Socio-Cultural Development, Library, Dormitory.
