«Cybersecurity: A Requirement of Our Time» Seminar-Training

On April 8, 2026, as part of the annual Science Week, a topical seminar-training titled “Cybersecurity: A Requirement of Our Time” was held.

Speakers of the event: R. B. Abdrakhmanov – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the School of Humanities; A. S. Kasymbekov – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the School of Humanities.

During the seminar, faculty members and students held comprehensive discussions on modern digital environment challenges and key data protection principles. Particular attention was paid to the practical part of the training:

Group Work: Participants analyzed real-life cases and situations related to cyber threats in everyday life, proposing effective algorithms for their resolution.

Gamification: Knowledge assessment was conducted in the format of an interactive computer game. This approach not only increased audience engagement but also visually demonstrated cyber hygiene methods.

Based on the results of practical tasks, participants who demonstrated the most profound knowledge in the field of information security were identified. Winners and active participants were honored with special prizes. The organizers emphasized that such events contribute to developing high digital literacy and readiness to counter modern cyber risks.
