The grand opening of the «SCIENCELAB» laboratory has taken place.

As part of the opening of Science Week, the International University of Tourism and Hospitality held a grand opening ceremony for its modern “SCIENCELAB” laboratory. This significant event marks a new stage in training future tourism professionals by bridging the gap between education and science.

The laboratory is equipped with valuable archaeological artifacts and a modern material and technical base for field research. The equipment includes tacheometers, prisms, tripods, quadcopters, and professional cameras. Additionally, to integrate innovative technologies into the educational process, VR (virtual reality) glasses have been put into operation. These devices were purchased as part of the grant project AP26100839, «Pedagogical Design of an Immersive Educational Environment Using Gamification in Teaching Foreign Languages to Tourism Specialists».

The primary goal of this equipment is to develop immersive scenarios for practical courses in the Tourism major and to effectively integrate them into the curriculum. This, in turn, will allow students to hone their professional skills and gain practical knowledge adapted to real-world situations. Improving the quality of education through modern technology is one of the laboratory’s top priorities.

The opening of the «SCIENCELAB» laboratory will not only strengthen the university’s scientific and innovative potential but also make a major contribution to training

сompetitive, highly qualified specialists in the tourism and hospitality industry.
