From December 10 to 20, 2025, Gursoy Muzaffer and Sizdikov Bagdaulet Saparbayevich, senior researchers and project executors of BR28713129 “Study of the Introduction and Spread of Islam in Kazakhstan Based on Archaeological and Written Sources,” conducted a research visit to Ankara, Republic of Türkiye.
During the visit, archaeological samples were delivered for genetic (aDNA) and radiocarbon (C14) analyses, academic cooperation was established with leading Turkish universities and laboratories, and relevant sources were collected from major libraries. Meetings were held with scholars from Hacettepe University and Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, resulting in discussions on joint research and international publications, as well as the signing of cooperation memoranda.
