In Turkistan, the educational course “Step into Tourism: An Educational Program for Future Guides” has successfully concluded. Participants received training on the fundamentals of tour guiding and were awarded certificates upon completion.
The course was organized under the Professional Development Courses (PDC) agreement between the International University of Tourism and Hospitality (IUTH) and the Tourism Department of Turkistan Region.
Throughout the program, trainees learned both theoretical principles and practical skills of guiding. The curriculum covered tour structure, effective communication with tourists, methods of presenting cultural and historical landmarks, as well as professional ethics and safety protocols.
At the end of the course, participants presented their own mini-tour projects and successfully demonstrated their new knowledge in practice. The course served as a meaningful starting point for youth aiming to work in tourism and for individuals seeking professional growth in the field.
This initiative is a significant step toward enhancing the region’s tourism potential, preparing skilled personnel, and strengthening Turkistan’s image as a key tourism hub.
