From April 6 to April 10, the International University of Tourism and Hospitality hosted Science Week themed “The Role of Science in the Development of Turkistan Tourism,” dedicated to Science Workers’ Day. The week featured numerous scientific seminars and an international conference involving faculty, students, and staff.
Raya Onalbaykyzy, a Senior Lecturer at the School of Humanities, published a scientific article in the national republic scientific-methodical journal “Onegeli Urpaq” (No. 2(03)-2026).
The article, titled “The Path of Two Tulips Blooming in the Steppe,” is dedicated to the Director of the School of Humanities, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor L.S. Dinasheva, and Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor A.D. Sandybayeva. The piece highlights the career paths of these two distinguished women, which began at the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in Turkistan. Despite various challenges, their contribution to the prosperity of the educational institution and the advancement of science is invaluable.
“Teacher is a title of honor.” The labor of an educator in teaching students, fostering noble qualities, and guiding them toward humanity is immense. Today, these highly qualified mentors continue their work at the School of Humanities of the International University of Tourism and Hospitality. They are authors of numerous international and domestic publications, textbooks, monographs, and copyrights, and are recipients of state grants for research projects in the humanities.
“History is the biography of great people and our past.” This is precisely what they reveal and instill in the youth. In his 2025 Address to the People of Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: “Skilled, conscious people are the foundation of the national economy and the guarantee of the country’s future.”
Our dear teachers, whose journey serves as an inspiring example, are the pride not only of their students but of the entire country! Our respect for the educators leading the caravan of enlightenment will only continue to grow.
