History of the Department of “General Education Disciplines”
In August 2021, the Department of “General Education disciplines” separated from the Department of “Sports and General Education Disciplines”. Thus, the department becomes an independent structural subdivision of the Faculty of Tourism and Sports.
The Department of General Education Disciplines is a creative team of teachers with great scientific potential and extensive pedagogical experience.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, the Department of “Language Disciplines” was separated from the department.
17 qualified teachers, each of whom is a professional in their field, carry out teaching activities at the department. Among theme, there are 8 candidates of sciences, 3 PhD and 3 senior teachers and 3 masters. Interactive teaching methods are actively used in the classroom, teachers are constantly improving their professional qualifications.
The main directions of the department work:
– Organization and conduct of educational and methodological work in general education disciplines;
– The use of new innovative technologies, as well as effective methods of distance learning in the educational process;
– Improvement of the education quality;
– Teaching students to respect the state language, history, culture, traditions and customs of the peoples of Kazakhstan;
– Education of patriotism, formation of a healthy lifestyle, ensuring effective adaptation of first-year students to the new educational environment.
Currently, the department teaches the disciplines “History of Kazakhstan”, “Cultural Studies”, “Politology”, “Philosophy”, “Sociology”, “Pedagogy and Psychology”, “Law Basics”, “Introduction to Academic Writing”, “Information and Communication Technologies” for all educational programs of the university.
